BFFT as supporting member of VDI
VDI, a technological and scientific association established in 1856, currently has some 150,000 members and is, according to its own data, Germany’s largest association of engineers and scientists. VDI sees its main task as supporting, promoting and representing engineers nationwide.
Its national weekly newspaper ‘VDI News’, giving information on current technological developments, is an important element in the specialist press: it is distributed to members and sold through newsagents. Other activities are VDI guidelines, the VDI knowledge forum and other individual services.
BFFT has already initiated several joint activities with VDI, including participation in the Electromobility Day at the Ingolstadt Institute of technology. In addition, students and young engineers (suj) will be visiting the new BFFT headquarters on 17th October 2013; and on the 10th December 2013, hardware and software department head Matthias Regensburger will be hosting a VDI lecture on automobile control and display interfaces. To emphasise this close partnership, BFFT has been a supporting member of VDI since October 2013.
