“eMobile Runde Ingolstadt” at BFFT headquarters
The German Association for eMobility (BEM), together with the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences and the Society of German Engineers (VDI) organised an eMobile event 2nd July. The second run of the eMobility event took place this year in BFFT’s headquarters in Gaimersheim, Germany.
The event not only addressed interested visitors and the circle of experts from the field of eMobility, but also owners of electric vehicles. And those who long to be also got their money’s worth.
Among other things there was an opportunity to test drive e-vehicles (including the Tesla Model S, VW e-Golf, smart fortwo electric drive) and to take part in guided workshops within BFFT’s HQ. Another higlight was a brand new Audi A3 e-tron model, which was presented in the lobby of BFFT headquarters. After a short reception, the BFFT project manager for HV [high voltage] systems reported on an early stage concept for thermo management in battery based systems. On a related subject, Mr Hoffmann from the SGS group, reported on the lifespan of batteries in electric vehicles. A jovial come together over small snacks served as the conclusion of the event.
