BFFT goes motorsport: a round in the new Audi R8 with Audi TT Cup driver Christoph Hofbauer
BFFT is regularly represented at motorsport events with its special activities. It has sponsored the ADAC Hallen-Trial as well as motocross and go-kart events. The BFFT fanmobile has visited the DTM (German Touring Car Championship) races as well as the world-famous Red Bull X-Fighters.
August 26th boasted another highlight for motorsport fans. BFFT gave eight lucky winners an opportunity to get deeper insights into the world of motorsport at an exclusive event with Audi TT Cup driver Christoph Hofbauer. The Audi site in Neuburg an der Donau was just the right location. BFFT and Audi have created special driving experiences here since 2014. In the border area, curious visitors and prospective customers can test current Audi models in exclusive driving modules and training offers under the guidance of experienced motorsport instructors.
Neuburg also has a direct connection to motorsport and the Audi TT Cup. Both Audi Sport and Audi Sport customer racing are located here. But aside from that, the Audi driving experience in Neuburg promotes selected young drivers and prepares them in a comprehensive program as guest drivers for the Audi Sport TT Cup. Drivers can show their talents beforehand in Neuburg’s training course. BFFT takes responsibility for coordination tasks and supports the Audi driving experience in preparing guest starters.
The first of BFFT’s events for the Audi TT Cup was a tour of the Audi driving experience customer center run by BFFT. This also included a presentation of the Audi TT Cup racing series as well as the examination of other Audi racing cars (including two official Audi TT Cup cars, an Audi R18 e-tron quattro, and an Audi R8 LMS). Driver Christoph Hofbauer accompanied participants throughout the event and answered questions, whether they were about racing in general or the Audi TT Cup Series and its vehicles in particular. Of course, the event included a momentary pit stop for snacks and soft drinks. Finally, the winners went off-road for the Audi driving experience. The experienced instructors showed everyone how to master demanding diagonal driving, uphill sections, and water crossings with vehicles such as the Audi A6 allroad quattro and the Audi Q7.
The best experience for the participants was saved for last. Everyone was able to ride a few laps on the Audi driving experience handling course in the Audi R8 V10 plus alongside Audi TT Cup drivers. As passengers, they could experience the power and driving dynamics of a sports car firsthand. BFFT CEO Michael Mittag was won over by this and felt thrilled:
“Audi has built an impressive driving terrain in Neuburg. We are proud to have contributed to it as operators. The ride in the new Audi R8 remains unforgettable: this sports car makes everyone’s heart race, not just motorsport fans.”
