“Donau Classic” and Summer Festival 2017

Since the beginning of 2013, the electronics specialist BFFT from Gaimersheim near Ingolstadt, has been operating together with EDAG Engineering GmbH. In order to unite both companies further, and build a more personal relationship, the General Management of both companies decided to initiate a joint Summer Festival. On Friday, 23.06.2017, it took place in the Beach Club Wonnemar, in Ingolstadt.

Accompanied by radiant sunshine and sizzling Summer temperatures, the “DONAU CLASSIC” Rally (sponsored by BFFT and EDAG), made a stop in the parking lot of the adventure water-park, at around 16:30. The two BFFT Managing Directors, Markus Fichtner and Michael Mittag were not not be left out, and joined the Classic Rally, driving an Alpha Romeo 750 D, and a Triumph TR3.

After the competition, the “blue-red” Summer Festival commenced. All participants could partake in some special highlights and events. On the Wonnemar beach volleyball courts, the “Summer Festival Champion” competition took place, while water polo players romped in the outer pool. Whoever wanted to, could simply relax in the temperate water, and enjoy some well-deserved R&R. In addition to BBQ delicacies, with abundant side dishes, or a salad platter with grilled vegetables, the staff also enjoyed ice-cream. Subsequently, BFFT CEO Markus Fichtner and Business Unit Manager, Frank Schmidt of EDAG Ingolstadt, officially opened the Summer Festival for 2017. As a special highlight, the Audi TT Cup driver, Fabian Vettel, sponsored by BFFT, popped by the Festival to say a few words to the staff. As a surprise, a pop-up store was erected near the brand new BFFT “Fanmobil”, featuring the new Fabian Vettel fan collection. Later, the Ingolstadt DJ, Pyro, heated up the crowd to boiling point.

PS: BFFT was previously a guest at Donautherme Wonnemar in 2013. This took place during another season, celebrating another occasion. “Christmas on the Beach” was the theme of the memorable Christmas party, hosted by the engineering services provider in December 2013.
