First time on the podium: Fabian Vettel finishes second at the Nürburgring
The winning qualities of young racer Fabian Vettel were already clearly evident in the previous race. The younger brother of Formula 1 ace Sebastian Vettel already came close to a place on the podium on the Norisring in Nuremberg, but a driving error shortly before the end of the race cost him a place among the top three. Vettel also gave a strong showing in Zandvoort in the Netherlands, where a place at the top was also within grasping distance until a technical problem threw a spanner into the works. The breakthrough finally came last weekend (08 to 10 Sept). Fabian Vettel put in a strong performance on Saturday that was crowned by his first podium finish of the season. The Audi TT Cup driver finished second at the Nürburgring, thus celebrating his first time standing on the podium. Vettel’s goal for the remaining two races is to win first place in the junior series.
Vettel’s main sponsor BFFT congratulates the eighteen-year-old star of tomorrow on his first podium finish and wishes him every success for the rest of the season!
