A chance to read in peace at a technical college or technical school? Doesn’t exist, right? It does now! BFFT and the DONAUKURIER newspaper extend their reading sponsorship
Last year, BFFT donated several beanbags and an annual subscription to the regional daily newspaper to be used at reading areas in the Technical University of Ingolstadt (THI) and the Ingolstadt Technical School (TSIN), as part of the DONAUKURIER Reading Sponsorship campaign.
The purpose of the Reading Sponsorship campaign is to enable young people to access offline news and information. In these times of information overload, fake news and a constant flood of digital “information snippets”, the objective is to grant young people the best possible opportunity to inform themselves about essential facts. The campaign also aims to improve the general knowledge of the students.
Students at the THI have been provided with a reading corner equipped with two beanbags immediately adjacent to the college library, where they can continue to inform themselves on topics such as politics, business, sport, culture and regional affairs.
Students at the Technical School also have a cosy reading corner with two beanbags to help them improve their general knowledge.
BFFT is pleased to extend its reading sponsorship at the two educational institutions for another year. In this case, the BFFT claim “We move people” also applies to encouraging young people to open a newspaper from time to time.
