BFFT goes Movember – an employee charity campaign promoting men’s health
Saturday, November 1 was the official German and international launch of the “Movember” charity campaign, and BFFT too is showing its support for maintaining men’s health with a team that will undergo 30 days of mustache growing. Starting in 2004 and 2006 in Australia and New Zealand, these campaigns have drawn attention to the issue of men’s health and raised funds accordingly. Primarily, it’s about preventing prostate cancer plus ensuring better treatment with donations being collected that benefit research via national organizations (for more information click here).
In addition to some employees, BFFT Managing Director Markus Fichtner and Technical Manager Frank Fichtner will be carefully cultivating their mustaches strictly in line with the “no beards, no goatees” rule for all of “Movember” (November 1-30). The “BFFT MoBro’s” team has been set up to try to get maximum donations from now until the end of the campaign. Weekly pictures will document mustache growth throughout. The best mustaches will finally be decided through a vote on the BFFT Facebook page.
