The cornerstone has been laid: BFFT has settled on the Campus for Industry and Technology in Berlin
Not only that but BFFT, the specialist in automotive technology and electronics, as well as strategic development partner of Audi, finds itself on an impressive growth trajectory: just at its Ingolstadt/Gaimersheim location, its has expanded its role immensely. The nearly 700 employees it has currently are distributed not just in its modern headquarters and other buildings in Gaimersheim but also in several other new offices, workshop areas and halls in Ingolstadt South and Eitensheim.
But in BFFT Berlin, space on “Paradise Road” is also gradually becoming scarce. That is why the almost 50-head BFFT team is moving to the Campus for Industry and Technology, locally called “At the Octagon” in the Adlershof section of Berlin. The new location offers BFFT the opportunity to produce and test its developments in a rapidly growing technology cluster in Berlin’s dynamic surroundings. In addition to numerous cooperating partners located there, it offers BFFT a unique environment conducive to science, research and production.
In Berlin-Adlershof, a new office/production building will emerge by the start of 2017. It is called OfficeLab H1 and there on 19,000 ft2, BFFT will be developing and testing electronic components for the infotainment and digitalization fields as well as energy storage systems for electric vehicles. The cornerstone for that building was laid a short time ago; the project developer immobilien-experten-ag invited to the ceremony. The BFFT’s Managing Directors, Markus Fichtner and Michael Mittag as well as the head of the Berlin location, Aron Deutschlaender were also there in person for the formal event and contributed a BFFT rubber duck with a printed circuit board pendant.
Thus, the cornerstone has been laid for BFFT to spread its automotive expertise and know-how in Berlin and well beyond.
