BFFT with American colleagues on whatchado
What brings a self-taught mechanic from the East Coast to work as an Infotainment Test Engineer on the West Coast? Why does a German woman who wrote her doctoral thesis in Media Studies about Lord of the Rings work at the Executive Assistant desk in Belmont? These and other exciting life stories may soon be followed worldwide via the resume platform “Watchado”. After many employees at BFFT’s German locations in Ingolstadt/Gaimersheim, Regensburg and Berlin took the opportunity to present themselves, their activities, and their resumes on “Whatchado”, employees from BFFT of America (BFFToA) were also daring enough to appear on camera.
For the eight employees who were interviewed, having the camera focus on them while they were interviewed by a “Whatchado” employee was an exciting experience. Like a few German colleagues before them, they were asked the typical seven questions: What’s the coolest thing about your job? How has your career path developed? Or what advice would you give to your 14-year old self?
It wasn’t always easy to find the “right” answer and address the camera with a charming smile as well. But for those who described their path to BFFToA during the three days of filming, it was certainly a great experience that they didn’t want to miss: “I was indeed a little excited,” admits Kilian von Neumann-Cosel, CEO of BFFToA. “But Whatchado is a great idea. We are glad that we can take part in it and also be able to present the American side of BFFT to the world.”
BFFT can present itself as one of the first international employers with both German and English contributions. Starting in July, the videos of American BFFT employees will be available both on “Whatchado” and on the BFFT Youtube channel and will reveal the exciting stories of how they came to work at BFFToA.
