E-mobility challenges, opportunities and risks – Dr. Willibert Schleuter’s presentation at BFFT
Worldwide auto shows, such as the Internationale Automobil Ausstellung (IAA, International Automotive Exhibition) in Frankfurt, Germany, show that electrical mobility is becoming an increasingly important subject for car manufacturers. Developmentally, the focus on alternative drives is growing while international OEMs are presenting vehicles that are 100 % electrical, plug in hybrids as well as the related charging equipment. BFFT, a company specializing in electrical power storage and electrification always stays up-to-date as far as electrical mobility is concerned.
BFFT hosted a presentation on the latest industry challenges, opportunities and risks on September 17. Once again, the speaker was Dr.-Ing. Willibert Schleuter, who consults BFFT in strategic matters and who presented interesting automotive industry studies (change & innovation management, the future of automotive electronics) at BFFT’s headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany over the past few years. The former Head of Electrical Systems and Electronics Development (EE) at AUDI AG is also at the helm of the “Automotive Electronics Convention” in Ludwigsburg, which is an internationally renowned information and networking platform for decision-makers in the EE sector.
Dr. Schleuter introduced the latest vehicle concepts as well as cars already on the market, e-vehicle components (battery), charging concepts and business models. After the presentation he summed up the current state of the industry and provided an outlook on the developments on the global electrical car market. The objective of this topic specific presentation and subsequent panel discussion was to better prepare BFFT for the future electrical mobility challenges and to increase awareness among the participants.
