Excursion at BFFT: The Working Groups on Education & Economy visited the Company Headquarters
The modern BFFT company headquarters in Gaimersheim near Ingolstadt, is a popular excursion destination. Apart from high-ranking politicians (including FDP Federal President Christian Lindner), universities and colleges (among others, Ingolstadt Technical University, the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences), several organizations (including working groups and company representatives) can also be counted as BFFT guests. On 14 November 2016, around 40 representatives of the Working Groups on Education & Economy (directors, teachers and company representatives) accepted the invitation to the BFFT company headquarters.
After the welcoming speech by the Chairman of the Working Groups on Education & Economy, Emmeran Hollweck, the floor was handed over to BFFT Director for “testing and validation”, Peter Hollweck. He briefly presented the company, describing the core competences (driver assistance systems, digitization and energy storage systems) of the Ingolstadt-based vehicle technology specialist. To provide visitors with insight into the vocational training at BFFT, Birgit Gugel, Head of Training, subsequently gave a presentation.
The entire event was rounded off with a tour of the modern facilities, with snacks and drinks being served by the BFFT cafeteria. The aim of the event: “Shaping the future together”, is to validate the commitment to the approximately 100 Working Groups on Education & Economy in Bavaria. It also describes the importance of co-operation between education and the economy. Only when both sides co-operate constructively, as equal partners, can solutions to current challenges, such as critical shortages in the skilled labor force, be developed.
