Students of the Ingolstadt Technical University Visit BFFT Headquarters
BFFT Headquarters is a popular excursion destination: In addition to high-ranking politicians and various universities, some organizations have also been guests at BFFT in the past. On July 17, 2017, the Ingolstadt Technical University visited the BFFT headquarters in Gaimersheim, as part of the course: Vehicle Technology and Electro-Mobility; besides these two focus areas, the Technical University offers courses in other fields of expertise, such as: Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics.
After the welcome and reception, a guided tour of the “sacred workshop halls” started. Here, students of the Ingolstadt Technical University were given access to exciting projects in the fields of digitalization, driver assistance systems and electro-mobility. The remodeling of Schanzer Racing Driverless was also part of the tour; BFFT supports young engineers from Ingolstadt, giving them an autonomous racing car project, in which BFFT gives them the opportunity to implement a conversion, from mechanical to electrical. After that, they were treated to the highlight of the tour; a company presentation by the General Manager, Markus Fichtner, in the BFFT cafeteria. The students were given detailed information about the company, and were able to pose questions to CEO Markus Fichtner, regarding his career path. He himself was once a student at the Ingolstadt Technical University. At the end of th tour, the 25 students were given advice and application tips by the BFFT recruiting department; they gave talks on CV design, as well as the best way to put together Xing profiles.
