Training at BFFT: Cooperation with the Lebenshilfe Gaimersheim
In order to prepare trainees well for their future professions or their tasks, BFFT offers opportunities to explore other fields in addition to the exciting training programs here. By working with select cooperation partners, BFFT trainees can gather insights and experience which might benefit them in their future careers.
One of these partners is the Lebenshilfe Gaimersheim (workshop for the handicapped) which has collaborated with BFFT since 2014. The counseling workshop supports disabled people on their paths to self-sufficiency and individual responsibility in the areas of work, education and housing. During their training at BFFT, all trainees in the field of Business Administration (Purchasing or Warehouse Logistics module) are assigned to the Lebenshilfe Gaimersheim for at least one week in order to gain insight into working with the disabled. For the first time, a social project has been created that the trainees organize and implement themselves. Against this background, all current BFFT trainees took a tour of the Lebenshilfe Gaimersheim on June 15, 2016.
Independently of the training collaboration, the BFFT mechanics workshop has employed a member of the counseling workshop since 2011. He has become an integral part of the BFFT team.
