FOCUS Germany’s Best Employer (2014 + 2015 + 2016)
In the FOCUS employer rankings for 2014 BFFT was awarded first place as the best employer in Germany among medium-sized industrial enterprises in the automotive industry. Ranked 2nd (2015) and 9th (2016) in the following years, BFFT again belongs to the best employers in its field.
In 2015 more than 70,000 employees from all hierarchies and of all ages and from 22 different industries took part in the survey regularly organised by FOCUS magazine and assessed their employers by means of a multi-page questionnaire.
Employees could here award points on the issues of, for example,salary, work-life balance, working environment, opportunities for further development or social benefits.
Top Engineering Employer (2014) & Top Employer Automotive (2015 + 2016)
In contrast to other certificates no (subjective) employee survey is carried out with regard to this “Top Employer” certification, but it is the product of a purely fact-based, transparent assessment using a comprehensive questionnaire.
The audits assess in particular human resources management, working environment and employee packages.
Automotive Brand Contest: Winner 2016
The Automotive Brand Contest is considered one of the most prestigious design awards in the automotive sector. The jury, consisting of representatives from the media, the design industry, brand communication and various universities, gives out the annual award for excellent achievements in product and communication design.
In addition to the overall concept, factors such as design quality, product aesthetics, degree of innovation, functionality and sustainability are decisive in the race to claim one of the titles (“Best-of-Best”, “Special Mention” or “Winner”) in the 14 categories of the competition.
Employer Branding Award: Best Employer Brand 2016
The Employer Brand Managers Club (network of employers in the Germany/Austria/Switzerland region) and Symbiosis (agency for brand and strategy communication) awarded BFFT the Employer Branding Award for “Best Employer Brand 2016” in the area of Hidden Champions/Internal Branding.
In so doing, they recognized outstanding projects to strengthen the employer brand in the categories of employer positioning, personnel marketing and internal branding, both for small (hidden champions) and large companies (global players).
A jury made up of marketing and HR experts first selects the best three projects from each category. These 18 companies present their concepts at the Employer Branding Practice Forum. Special note: In the final assessment, the audience vote (40%) is counted along with the jury vote (60%).
Ranking kununu employer assessment platform (2014 + 2015 + 2016)
In the 2014 kununu ranking, BFFT was ranked Nr. 1 in the list of the most popular companies in the automobile industry, and Nr. 2 in 2015, Nr. 4 in 2016.
On the largest German-speaking employer assessment portal kununu.com, employees can rate their employers. An average score is calculated from all ratings submitted which then serves as the basis for the industry-based ranking.
Rating criteria include, among others, the behavior of superiors, employee cohesion, image, and work-life balance.
Agritechnica Innovation (2015) – Silver Medal
Together with the agricultural machinery manufacturer SAME DEUTZ-FAHR, BFFT received a silver medal for the driver assistance system DRIVER EXTENDED EYES at the Agritechnica 2015 organized by the German Agricultural Society (DLG).
Exhibitors at the Agritechnica, the world’s largest agricultural machinery and equipment trade fair, can submit innovations to the DLG every year. A neutral commission decides which products/developments will be awarded with a gold or silver medal.
The award is presented for innovative new products that are significant for applications, offer advantages in work performance and improve operational safety.
HR Excellence Awards (2015 + 2016) – Nomination
BFFT was nominated at the HR Excellence Awards 2015 in the Recruiting Campaign and Employee Benefits & Incentives categories, 2016 in the category Employee Commitment.
A jury of experts created a shortlist (one for SME’s and one for corporations) for each of the categories in the competition. The companies nominated must present their projects to this jury before the final winner is selected.
The awards honor innovative projects and strategic campaigns in the area of human resource management in Germany. Regardless of the competition category, innovation and results are the decisive factors when selecting the winners.
Bavaria’s Best 50 (2012)
In 2012 BFFT was a recipient of the “BAVARIA BEST 50” award from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, and was therefore honoured as one of the 50 “most dynamic” companies in Bavaria.
For this purpose an independent auditing institution selected from among 200 participants the 50 fastest-growing mid-sized enterprises in Bavaria based upon objective criteria.
The decisive factors for making this choice include, for example, an above-average increase in sales and in the number of employees.
“Bavarian Mid-Sized Company Award” (2014)
In 2014, the European Economic Forum bestowed on BFFT the “Bavarian Mid-Sized Company Award” (Bayerischer Mittelstandspreis) in the “Services” category. Thus, BFFT numbers among Bavaria’s most powerful and innovative mid-sized companies.
Only companies that are proposed by personalities from the worlds of business, politics, media or science can participate. On the basis of a comprehensive questionnaire, a jury consisting of previous prize-winners then selects four winners in the categories of crafts, commerce, services and manufacturing.
Prize winners as well as nominated companies stand out in areas which include, among others, customer focus, personnel, resource planning, innovation, internationalisation and CSR.
100toparbeitgeber.de (100 top employers) (since 2014)
Since 2014, BFFT has been listed on 100toparbeitgeber.de as one of 100 employers with a particularly attractive company culture.
There, employers are only presented whose company cultures, with the help of an expert scientifically developed Top Employer Analysis Tool®, have been rated as outstandingly strong.
Qualifying criteria are, among others: collegiality, sustainability, lifestyle, training opportunities, leadership style and internationality.
“Great Award of Mid-Sized Companies” (2014 + 2015 + 2016) – shortlist
BFFT made it onto the jury’s shortlist in the competition for the Oskar-Patzelt-Foundation’s “Grand Award of Mid-Sized Companies” (Großer Preis des Mittelstands) three years in a row (2014 + 2015 + 2016).
Communities, associations, institutions and companies can nominate excellent mid-sized companies for this business award each year; companies may not apply themselves. From those nominated, a volunteer jury selects the award winners using a comprehensive questionnaire.
The five competition criteria are the areas of overall company development, creation / security of jobs and apprenticeships, modernization / innovation, regional commitment and closeness to customers / marketing.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Apprenticeship Company (2014 + 2015 + 2016)
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Industrie- und Handwerkskammer, IHK) Munich and Upper Bavaria rewarded BFFT’s intensive efforts in the area of business apprenticeships 2014-2016 with the designation of “IHK Apprenticeship Company”.
For the certificate, which is given annually by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Germany, companies which offer apprenticeships are visited and checked beforehand by IHK advisors.
This quality seal marks recognized apprenticeship companies as attractive employers which train their own next generation of experts and managers.
kununu TOP Company (since 2011)
Since 2011 BFFT has been a kununu TOP COMPANY and is honoured accordingly by the largest German-language portal for employer reviews for its high ratings.
TOP COMPANIES are especially highly rated employers which have received at least six reviews awarding an average of three rating points.
