BFFT Regensburg masters the Arber Cycling Marathon
The event on 29 July 2018 was already the 34th Arber Cycling Marathon, and roughly 7,000 cycling enthusiasts had joined the annual pilgrimage to the starting line. Every year, participants can choose from seven different distances. The supreme discipline is mastering the largest Arber circuit, which boasts a total distance of 250 kilometres and an altitude difference of 3,750 metres. Eastern Bavaria’s largest cycling event attracts large numbers of spectators to the picturesque route through the forest every year.
Series development of control units and software – that’s the daily bread and butter of the BFFT site in Regensburg. The site already celebrated its 5th anniversary in March and continues to grow steadily. Away from the desk and out into nature: In keeping with the BFFT motto “Wir bewegen Menschen” (We move people), 17 Regensburg staff members put their cycling skills to the test on various tracks at this year’s Arber bicycle marathon, clocking up a remarkable total of 1,400 kilometres as a team. The strongest opposition on the day was certainly the brutal temperature of over 30 degrees along the tracks. The participants showed a high degree of staying power, commitment and team spirit.
