The BFFT Fanmobil Goes to the Bayern Derby at Munich’s Allianz Arena
On May 17, 2015, FC Ingolstadt (FCI) celebrated its advance to 1st Bundesliga ranking by way of a 2-1 victory over RB Leipzig at the Audi Sportpark. Since then, the club has been fighting for points this season against such football greats as BVB Dortmund, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and FC Bayern Munich (FCB). FCI had to show its football prowess against the record champions on December 12, 2015, at the Bayern Derby in the Allianz Arena. FCB Bayern, currently on top in the Bundesliga, was naturally the favorite.
BFFT, FCI’s long-term partner and fan, made its way to the state capital on December 12, with the Fanmobil and 27 employees, to energetically cheer on the Ingolstadt team. “Die Schanzer” cut quite a good figure on the field and bravely were able to keep up with FCB in the first half. But then in the second 45 minute period, Robert Lewandowsky and team captain Philipp Lahm led FCB to victory with one goal each. Despite Ingolstadt’s loss, the “Schanzer” fans’ support at the Bayern Derby was magnificent, and FCI can be thoroughly satisfied with its performance.
