Looking back – Triathlon Ingolstadt 2012 – BFFT active participant as well as sponsor

This year`s triathlon Ingolstadt took place on 10th June.  Just under 2,000 athletes participated and were spurred on for peak performances by a total of 15,000 spectators. BFFT appeared as both a participant and a sponsor here.

The BFFT triathlon team consisted of 60 people, 15 relays and 15 single starters. Thus, nearly every tenth BFFT employee took part in the triathlon.  Prior to all of this was a diverse preparation program which prepared  the staff for the triathlon challenge step by step (among others: introductory event, performance diagnostics, training schedule, swimming technique, wetsuit swimming, combined practice in cycling/ running).

BFFT`s dedication to sponsoring was shown in various advertising areas (start, water exit, finishing line) staff incentives (Meet & Greet evening with triathlon professionals, exclusive BFFT tent) as well as providing a route vehicle.  A “core piece” of the sponsoring, however, was the BFFT turn buoy in the shape of a company car that was posted on the “Baggersee” (lake) using a pontoon.

Along with AUDI, BFFT was the most active company participating at Ingolstadt`s Triathlon 2012 from a sports viewpoint as well as marketing.
