Perimeter ad 2.0: Kickoff Marketing-Seminar with the THI

BFFT doesn’t just have specialists in the fields of electronics development and automotive technology. The Department for Marketing-Communication also works hard throughout the year in order to help BFFT stand out from the crowd with its unusual actions. Their efforts are proven not only by the awards BFFT has received for being one of the most popular employers in Germany. Their innovative sponsoring and event concepts for recruiting and retaining employees have already gained attention on some expert platforms.

Since BFFT is constantly in search of new, innovative marketing approaches, the Department for Marketing-Communication will begin working with the support of Prof. Dr. Alexander Decker and students from the Technical University of Ingolstadt (THI) on a project seminar with the theme of sponsorship in the mid-sized business sector. Through this collaboration, ideas and concepts for a new BFFT campaign with the sponsorship partner FC Ingolstadt (FCI) should be worked out. So far, the automotive technology developer has attracted attention with its blue BFFT fan sofa and interactive job advertisements on LED displays at Audi Sportpark. A new football-related campaign that will be featured on a perimeter advertising board is now planned for the 2016/2017 season. The students are working in groups to create various concepts for this, and they have a free hand in design and implementation. On the last day of the project seminar at Audi Sportpark, the results will finally be presented.

At the kick-off meeting for the project seminar on March 17th, the 20 students were given a detailed overview of BFFT’s employee-oriented sponsoring and event measures. In addition, Thomas Nellen (team leader for sponsorship and marketing at FCI) talked about the effect that perimeter advertising can have and the best ways to implement it. In the next few weeks, four more seminars will be held in which the students will present their first results. We are eager to see what the students will create!
