Correctly networked and wired up with the BFFT department for network and measuring technology
Due to the increased networking of control units, sensors, etc. in a vehicle (up to 140 control units and over 100 sensors are installed in a modern luxury car) this means that there is a great deal of data that plays a major role for all vehicle manufacturers. Important conclusions can be drawn for safeguarding and troubleshooting purposes on the vehicle. However, how can this data be recorded, measured, and analyzed without gaps? The necessary services for this purpose are provided by the network and measuring technology department at BFFT.
Supporting data loggers: The entire vehicle network can be recorded and used for further offline analysis through a data logger by means of interfaces to all current bus systems. BFFT carries out the updating of data logger software, creates configurations, and ensures that the data in the vehicle is correctly recorded.
Individual production of wiring sets: Due to individual measurement cables depending on requirements, the most varied interfaces or measurement options on a vehicle (CAM, FlexRay, LIN, MOST, Ethernet) can be created and the power supply for data loggers or other measurement technology can be guaranteed in the vehicle.
Measurement data analysis: BFFT takes over evaluation of the log files from trial runs and test drives as well as evaluation of installation measurements on the laboratory vehicles, and therefore ensures communication in the vehicle between the individual control units.
Software for measurement data analysis: BFFT develops individual tools for analysis and management of measurement data with a team of software developers and specialists within vehicle networking. A perfectly coordinated tool chain for vehicle networking is made thanks to a close partnership with renowned manufacturers of data loggers.
In addition, the network and measuring technology department at BFFT carries out the development of functions for legally securing autonomous driving, works with the infotainment/HMI/Connect department to secure remote functions within the mobile phone to vehicle communication sector, and programs data translators via which bus signals can be manipulated.
